Brand new Apple watch- battery draining in 24hrs

Hi, I just purchased an Apple Watch SE, I am noticing that the battery is draining really fast. For instance I put on my watch with 100% charge in the morning and by 23:00 of the same day it is asking me to recharge it again. Is this normal?

Charge your Apple Watch every night while you are sleeping.

DO NOT try to eek out every last second before you charge your Apple Watch, as running the battery to zero 🪫 (or even regularly into the red) is the fastest way to destroy the Li-Ion battery.

If you are using your Apple Watch for sleep monitoring, then change it while getting ready for bed, and change it again when you get up in the morning while getting ready for your day.

I have had my Series 4 Apple Watch 4 and a half years, and following the above behavior, the battery is still lasting me all day every day.
