I cannot access 4g network despite all the info I have read suggested I should be able to do so

My carrier is Lycamobile who recently brought changes to their network so that 3g was being phased out and replaced by 4g . That meant that my 2016 iPhone SE network services would only work outside my house, so I decided to upgrade it to a 2020 version in the hope of an improvement. Unfortunately that has not proven to be the case because the only networks available in " Voice and Data" are 2g, 3g and LTE (ie the same as my previous phone). I have always ticked LTE but have gained nothing. Could someone please advise me? Thanks

I should add that my reason for wanting a better connection is so that i can use text messaging services because currently i cannot receive any unless i leave my phone outside

E, 2G, 3G, 4G, LTE, VoLTE, 5G all are Carrier Specific features. Contact your Carrier (Cellular Service Provider), the agency that issued the SIM / eSIM to you. About the LTE options on your iPhone - Apple Support (IN)

See the Pic below and explanations thereof

The pic below is self-explanatory

However iPhone model specific feature is listed here --> Identify your iPhone model - Apple Support . and tap on "See the Technical Specs for Model XXXXXX" under each model and Scroll down to "Cellular and Wireless" section.

Know it here --> All about G, E, 3G, H, H+, 4G, VoLTE, 5GE and 5G symbols ...
