This depends on your Carrier...contact them if in doubt

many no longer support older mobile network technology. My carrier only supports 4LTE and newer.

Who is your cellular provider? As far as I know T-Mobile was the last provider to support 2G and they notified their customers in February that it would soon be gone. Any cellular options you see on your iPhone are provided by your cellular company.

FWIW, 3g is not far behind, and already being shut down by most cellular providers.

If you're in the US, 2G has been permanently turned off. In most of the world 2G has been turned off. Thus, you won't find the option to choose a cellular band which no longer exists.

2G (EDGE) is dead.

3G is next.

As an alternative available most places, iPhone 15 Pro Max can use satellite communications when in isolated areas.
