I have some old devices, do I need to make an appointment with the apple store to do that?
If you want to buy a new device and have the trade in apply to your purchase, then yes. Make an appointment for a sales associate. If you just want a gift card, then I am not sure - it would depend how busy the store is probably. Best check with Apple.
