I have a new iPhone 14 plus and have had it about a week or two now. Since I have had the phone my phone has not alerted me to the messages. I have the sound on and even looked in the settings to see if somehow the alert sound has been shut off, everything is turned on. It does not go off for iMessage or some with an android phone. Is there anything else that I could do so my phone will go off when I get a text message?

If this is isolated to Messages, it's likely that notifications for that specific app aren't set up properly. You can change these settings with the steps found in Change notification settings on iPhone - Apple Support

Thank you for that information. Which iOS version are you currently running? Go to Settings > General > About for the version. Are you receiving the Notifications on screen, just not hearing it audibly? Is the iPhone in silenced? Hi, Thank you for your answer but unfortunately that did not work. Messages is the only one I generally need to go off but it is all apps that the notifications do not go off.
