How to recover files from Macintosh HD.dmg?

There seems some problem with my old 13inch Macbook pro which bought at 2010, the OS is still the OS that I bought it at 2010. and some message showed I need update the OS, So I updated the OS, but I could not enter the OS successfully. I tried disk Utility First Aid, but no change. So I thought re-install the OS.

Before I re-install my Mac OS, I made the whole HDD to image file(Macintosh HD.dmg).the dmg file is about 450GB.

After the re-intall was over, I could not open the Macintosh HD.dmg file by several method.

・The restore function of Dis Utiliy

・The UUByte DMG Editor for Windows (there was error when release the dmg file(so big?

)

Could anyone tell me how can I recover the files from the big dmg file?

Not all files is OK, just important photos and video, and some documents.

Thanks very much.

If there is any question about above details, welcome to contact me!

Sorry to feedback late.

I had used the Stellar Data Recovery to deep scan the HDD. Some of the Documents and photos/Videos were got back. But some photos and almost all videos are broken and can't be opened.

So I tried the hdiutil command by below which searched by internet.

hdiutil attach "DMG File" -readonly -noverify -noautofsck

But still feedback there is Error as below

"no mountable file system"

Could you teach me about how to use hdiutil to mound the DMG File?

Or some advice ?

I think that I will try to use Disk Utility to convert it to ISO format to check if I can open the DMG fies.

Now I need a new bigger HDD or SSD to save the ISO format.

And If I convert the DMG file to Read/write disk image, mean I can open the file to copy out the files I wanted ?

Thanks your advice and feedback.
