My daughter was trying to improve my storage and turned off backup to most of my apps. After doing so I lost my notes
(& most of my contacts 🤦🏻♀️)
Is there any way I can retrieve the data to my phone?

If you contacts were synced with iCloud, you may be able to recover them.
Use an internet browser and log into https://www.icloud.com/ and then click on your user icon in the top left corner of that webpage. On the next page click "Data Recovery" near the top middle of the screen.

I don't know of any option to recover Notes.
