Does low power mode work for 3rd party workout apps?

Do these same things apply to 3rd party workout apps? Strava, Workoutdoors, Nike Run Club etc? I want to use an Apple Watch Ultra for an ultramarathon but I use it with the App workoutdoors, which is far superior to the native workout app. Any help?

I plan to run an ultramarathon but the last time I used my AppleWatch Ultra + Workoutdoors on a really long workout, it only lasted ~11hrs. I'm assuming that's because it was still in full sensor mode, full GPS, Full heart rate tracking etc. Would low power mode work to make Workoutdoors last 36+ hours?

I'm not sure even Ultra was intended for 11+ hour workouts.

Strava has far superior output but I use stock Workout to interface with it. The stick app has low power mode and use less heart rate and gps measurements available in settings.
