I bought a ipad keyboard dock at a warehouse sale but just realized thar it has the original chargeport. Is there a way i can get a adapter to make it work with my ipad that has a c chargeport?

Probably, but we need to know what you mean by "original charge port".
Apple has used a few different port types over the years with iPads and the keyboards.

Unfortunately, you'll not find an adapter for Apple 30-pin to USB-C.
The problem is not simply the mechanical connection; Apple's 30-pin interface is proprietary - and fundamentally incompatible with USB-C.

Can't say for sure if they'll work with the keyboard, but they are cheep enough to try. The mentuon power and data transfer, so they might work.
