why am I getting no sound when watching hijack on different tv. All other programmes work fine

The Apple TV app on third party devices is supposed to use whatever device settings have been configured for audio. There are no app-specific settings that would cause muting.

  1. Try a cold restart of the TV.
  2. Check for TV system software updates.
  3. Try a reset of the Apple TV app.
  4. Try a delete and reinstall of the Apple TV app.
