AppleID Changed but still showing old email under photo and name in settings

I’ve just changed my AppleID on my iphone and Mac as my old email address had been compromised and both devices are now showing my new AppleID however both devices are also still showing my old email address underneath my photo and name in settings. How can I change this? I did select to delete my old email whilst going through the process of changing my AppleID.

Just an update and to finalise this discussion. My two devices are now working as they should with my new AppleID. This took just under 24 hours from the time I changed my AppleID. Apple are aware of this delay although I don’t recall reading this in the support docs. Thank you once again for your help and advice.

Did you do it this way?

1. Go to https://appleid.apple.com and sign in.

2. In the Sign-In and Security section, choose Apple ID.

3. Enter the email address that you want to use as your Apple ID.

4. Choose Change Apple ID.

5. If you changed your Apple ID to a third-party email address, check your old ID email for a verification code, then enter the code. Learn what to do if you didn't get the email. --> If you didn't receive your verification or reset email - Apple Support

6. If you use services like iCloud or Messages to share with friends and colleagues, sign in to those services with your updated Apple ID. --> What to do after you change your Apple ID or password - Apple Support

Absolutely no need to apologise. I always appreciate people like yourself responding. You were very helpful as at least it confirmed that I had followed the correct procedure for changing my AppleID and you provided links to other support docs if the fault hadn’t resolved. I don’t know if Apple read these forums but at least others can read this thread and understand that it can take time for a changed AppleID to work properly. So thank you again.
