Sign in issues with apple tv

  1. On desktop I enter at sign in , my user id shows briefly and before I can enter it disappears and the next box appears saying having issues and continue. Yet it does not allow me to continue.
  2. On my phone the app opens, it is up to date but again not allowed to sign in
  3. Smart tv, same, not allowed to sign in.

Yet I could sign into this page ???? What is going on?

If we understand correctly, you're having some issues signing in with your Apple ID, and it's happening on multiple devices.


If you're finding this happens on three separate devices, you might try testing one of them on a different Wi-Fi network. The iPhone might be easiest for testing. You could also try signing in using cellular data on the iPhone. This will help rule out connection issues, which sound possible since multiple devices are impacted.

Well, I solved it on my smart tv as I had to reactivate for some odd reason. Once done, no issue and then it was OK on my iphone. However, I still cannot sign into it on my desktop computer. The same continues in that my user id shows briefly or the box to enter it shows and before I can click or enter anything it disappears and the next box appears saying having issues and continue. Very odd. It was working fine 2 weeks ago.

On your Mac, we would recommend restarting which can often help, and try signing in again. To restart, please follow the the steps from the guide below:


Shut down or restart your Mac


Restart your Mac
•On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > Restart.
•If you don’t want app windows that are open to reopen when your Mac restarts, deselect “Reopen windows when logging back in.
