I am also having this issue. AirPods Pro announces twice "Person seen in driveway and person seen in driveway". I also have an apple Watch if that makes a difference. The iPhone itself shows 1 notification.

The double announcement is happening over the AirPods only.

Any solution yet?

I'm also experiencing this issue: sometimes (not always) getting double announcements via AirPods for Google Home events - e.g. "Person seen, backyard camera and person seen, backyard camera".

There's only ever one notification on my iPhone.

Same happening here, any resolution by anyone yet? Thought it was a Google issue and could not find a resolution there but after seeing this it happens like this to me as well…one visual notification on the iPhone/Ipad but if I have the AirPods on I get a double verbal notification.

Google has been having issues with their app for years now. I, and so many others, have been experiencing issues where we don’t get any notifications from the camera. If we do get a notification, it disappears after a couple seconds and deletes itself from the notification menu. Google refuses to acknowledge this. We need to start filing major complaints. 8 months with no resolve is crazy

I have the same issue on my iPhone 14 Pro and AirPod Pros (latest with USB-C). I am on the latest version of iOS 17.5.1. I notice this consistently when I am running and listening to music or a podcast. The Google Home app will send me a notification of an event on one of the cameras (e.g. detects a person). The notification will be read twice via AirPods. In doing trouble shooting I see that there is only one notification (one banner strip for the event). For some reason it is being read twice.

I am having the same issue. Siri announces google nest notifications twice per notification. No watch, just AirPods.

Correction to my original post in that I also get a double visual notification on the iPad and the iPhone in addition to hearing the double notification if I have my AirPods on.

Same problem...every camera (have 3).
