what exact version of the software are you using, and what is its name, please....
the version from Android (Android file transfer) says it works with Mac 10.7 or better but doesn't mention M1/M2 compatibility at all, as in, zero mention, maybe contact them???
maybe try this one? as an alternative to Android File Transfer....
