New Apple TV Remote Won't Connect
I've tried all of the recommended steps, but my remote still will not connect. The Apple TV blinks but nothing happens.

The Siri Remote (3rd generation) works with Apple TV with system software 15.4 or later.
The Siri Remote (2nd generation) works with Apple TV with system software 14.5 or later.
The Siri Remote (1st generation) works with Apple TV with system software 9.0 or later.
The current version system software for officially supported models is tvOS 16.6 at this time.
Legacy models Apple TV (3rd generation or earlier) (system software 7.9 or earlier) will need a different remote, the old style Apple Remote (aluminum) A1294. Apple doesn’t sell these anymore, but some other resellers may still have some in stock.
