my remote for apple tv 4K - black case with rechargeable battery is not working. I've tried re pairing, and restarting but nothing works. when i go to system and remote tab it says its not connected.
any advice? or how do i get anew remote?

Connect to power and let charge for 3 hours. If the issue persists and it is under warranty you can get a replacement, if it is outside that you can still try to contact Apple and see what they say. Apple does sell remotes, should you need to purchase, and the new ones are backwards compatible.

Regarding my remote for Apple TV not working after trying the solutions suggested re : re pairing, and te starting. I was able from Apple support chat to find a solution. I turned the tv unit off for 30 seconds and tried to reconnect. That did the trick.
