Apple TV always asks for password, even when I've told it not to

Hi there,

Recently got a 4th Gen Apple TV and am having an issue with it asking for a password every time I attempt to download from the app store, even when I have gone into the setting and specifically set it not to.

Furthermore, when I do enter my password it says that I need to enter both my Apple ID and password, but never gives me a space to enter my Apple ID. Thus, I cannot download ANYTHING on the Apple TV. Very frustrating.
