An occasional software update message appears with no identification. I am a little wary of installing this until I know what it is... does this seem legitimate? Appears on MacBook Air Ventura 13.4.1

Nothing incorrect on checking what has already been suggested in above posting.
Perhaps if you follow along from another similar question where the user had a similar question may satisfy your concern.

I'd cancel that window then to verify if it's legit, go to System Settings > General > Software Update.
If (from there) it shows there is an update, you can then be sure it is legit.
Thanks - yes, that's what I did. Update is due so assume that's what it is.
