Stop Adobe Acrobat update Notification ?

MacBook Pro with Ventura 4.5.1 - an Adobe Acrobat notification regularly appears in centre of screen which I can delete but is there any way to stop repeatedly appearing. I am not running any Adobe utilities - Adobe Air installer & uninstaller in utilities file both have white cancellation signs over them. There are Adobe PDF Viewer.plugin & Adobe PDFviewer NPA plugin icons in plug in folder......can I safely delete these ?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 13.5

If you did not install any Adobe software, then I suspect those notifications are a scam.

Yes — the "prohibitory symbol" superimposed on the app icons means they cannot be used on that Mac, and are just occupying space — but I doubt removing those items will have any effect on those scam notifications.

To determine the cause of the annoyances I suggest that you download and run EtreCheck, and post its report in a reply to this Discussion. Instructions are here: How to use the Add Text Feature When Posting Large Amounts of Text, i.e. an Etrecheck Report - Apple Community. Something is going on with that Mac and it probably has nothing to do with Adobe.
