In general, wherever you choose to store them.
What scans are you referring to?
How are you creating these scans exactly?
What App are you using? Are you doing something to save the scans?
You'll need to provide details and context about what these scans are, and how you are creating them before anyone can help you find them.
If the printer emails the scans, then they are stored in your email account unless you download and save them yourself from there.
They would only be in the Pictures folder if you have saved them there from the email you received with them.
The Pictures folder would be found in the Finder, under your own profile folder. The one that has your name and a little house icon in the Finder's sidebar.
This is not something that would happen automatically.
As I mentioned above, if you saved the scan (and you must have done so prior to being able to send it in an email) it should also be available as a saved scan within the scanner's app. Have you checked there?
I'm sorry, I cannot give you a specific answer but I may be helpful. Your scanner no doubt uses an app that must be compatible with your current operating system. And each different scanner may have various differences but they all do the same basic things. After scanning you do have the option to see the scanned image or to delete it. If you have saved it, it will be shown (and available) via one of the app's menus. It is no doubt saved somewhere within the app. Where that might be within your Mac is really unimportant. Why would you care?
The scans are created on an hp8710 printer and are usually emailed but I am trying to find where they are stored in my Imac using 12.6.7.
I have seen they may be on the Pictures folder but I cant find that either!
Many thanks.
