Battery is draining while plugged-in!?

Simple. Pluged in, power indicator indicates that the M1 MacBook Pro is plugged in and over a couple of hours of sporadic usage, drops from 100% to 88% and going. Only using Safari and a document platform connected to a server to access and update files.

Apple implemented a new Battery Health Management system with an update to macOS 10.15.x Catalina which affected how USB-C model laptops charge their batteries. With Optimized Charging enabled (default setting), macOS will periodically drain the battery to 80% charge in order to exercise the battery....and will stop charging at 80% as well. This is to help maintain better battery health especially for people who leave their laptops connected to their power adapters all the time (or the majority of time).
