Unwanted update
The recent OS update has made my printer software unusable. How do I delete the update?

Thank you.
Is the problem that printing does not work at all? Further details would help.
Would it be correct to assume that your printer is connected to a network (a Wi-Fi router?), or are you using a direct USB connection from the Mac?
First of all, as always, make sure that you have backup copies of all important files.
You may want to reset the printing system (as described in the article below), and then try to re-add the printer.
Reset the Mac printing system to solve a problem – Apple Support (UK)
Add a printer on Mac – Apple Support (UK)
If the macOS Big Sur 11.7.9 is an update from an earlier macOS 11 Big Sur version, the existing printer driver/software ought to be compatible with your updated system version as well (unless the files have been damaged for some reason).
If it on the other hand is the result after a previous upgrade from an older operating system (such as macOS 10.14 Mojave or macOS 10.15 Catalina) it may become necessary to download new drivers.
HP's Software & Drivers page appears to have drivers for up to macOS 10.12 Sierra only.
However, Apple has an HP 5.1.1 Printer Software Update which may be suitable, if necessary. The article Printer and scanner drivers for Mac – Apple Support (UK) lists an HP Colour LaserJet CM2320 MFP Series printer driver version 19.13. Look upon this as an experiment.
Thank you.

Hi,
There may be ways of solving the printer problem, but you would have to provide some details.
Which operating system version?
Also, any information about the printer make and model? How is it connected?
I have a MacBook Pro OS Big Sur 11.7.9 Printer HP Colour Laser Jet CM2320nf MFP
The previous OS version was OK but I do not remember what it was.
Thank you for you help. - still trying!
