Using Siri has been a challenge

My initial post was removed inexplicably, assuming because I was blunt about my thoughts on the new Siri. Listen. It has been a struggle getting Siri to acknowledge and perform basic commands, which at one while was never an issue. Asking Siri to "set an alarm" usually gets me the "one moment....still working on that...still looking...something went wrong." When asking Siri to play a particular song with artist and title, Siri decides she wants to play a completely unrelated song which its title doesn't even sound remotely the same in dictation. Can someone please help? My phone is up to date. Where can I go to read up on the latest about Siri and workarounds. Because it has honestly reached the point that I don't get the use out of Siri that I need, at all, when at one while, Siri was a complete lifesaver. Hoping for some guidance or at least to know I'm not the only one
