Initiating a return call from Recents list on iPhone launches a 3rd-party app

On iPhone 14 Pro Max I tried responding to a missed incoming call by going to the Recents list in the Phone app, getting the info on the caller I wished to respond to, then clicking the call icon on the info card.

That proceeded to launch Facebook Messenger, not open a call.

Figuring that deleting FB Messenger would rid me of the problem, I deleted that app.

I returned to the Phone app, went through the same steps, pressed the call icon as before.

Which launched the Zoom app!

Any ideas on a fix?

Well, I have no doubt that what you are describing can happen, that does not fit this eventuality easily.

I had my wife place a call, on her iPhone to my iPhone. That is now the last incoming phone call.

I then attempted again the steps outlined in my original post - result was still a 3rd-party app launch rather than an outgoing call within the Phone app itself.
