Received wrong size (45mm) of the wrist band while purchasing the apple watch (series 8, 41mm).
Ordered a 41mm watch in series 8. Received the dial at 41mm while the band was of 45mm. The band doesn't fit the dial.

All you can do is send it back as not fit for purpose and hope they have an honest returns policy.
In worst case scenario new Apple strap like that is about $£50 but I got a 41mm one for £10 on eBay and you could sell that one for the same.
Bands which are 38/40/41mm will fit any Apple Watch which is 38/40/41mm
Bands which are 42/44/45mm will fit any Apple Watch which is 42/44/45/49mm
