Remote doesn’t stay charged
Charged remote for 2 hours. After using for about 30 minutes TV screen displays remote needs charging

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. With the batteries inside the Apple TV remote being rechargeable, it could be that your remote needs the battery replaced. Here's a bit of information on charging the remote Charge the Siri Remote - Apple Support
You could also restart your Apple TV by disconnecting it from the wall, waiting at least six seconds, and then plugging it back in. Restarting your remote could also help to rule out possible software.
