Changing HDMI screen share option

Long story short, I messed up my Macbook's screen a lot. When I want to connect it to another screen with hdmi, instead of showing the screen, it shows a blank page and does not show my applications, settings, etc. Since I can't see my own screen, I can't fix this mirroring thing. Is there a shortcut, a solution, a setting with the keyboard? Thank you

Hi Evcil33,

We understand you're having some trouble with your video settings and we can help.

You can turn on video mirroring with a keyboard shortcut:

* Command–Brightness Down: Turn video mirroring on or off when your Mac is connected to more than one display.

Mac keyboard shortcuts

That should help you get your desktop to appear.
