Can I set a default paper size in Pages?

I reside in Japan, which uses A4 paper size, but every time I start a new document in Pages, it starts at Letter size. Is there a way to change the default paper size? I know I can change it in each document but I'd like to set A4 as the default starting size.

Hi camera-eye,

Create a document in A4 and Menu > File > Save As Template...

It will appear in Template Chooser under My Templates.

You can make that your default template with Menu > Pages > Settings > General > Use template:

With that setting, Menu > File > New (command N) will open that template.

To see the Template Chooser, hold down the option key to see 'New' change to 'New from Template Chooser'.

You might also want to change Menu > Pages > Settings > Rulers to Centimetres:

Regards,

Ian.
