Saving or Emailing Text Messages

Is there any way to permanently save a text message or be able to email the entire strand to email and/or print without having to screen shot each message? Thank you in advance

I find the easiest way to archive messages is by using an application such as iMazing (Mac) or TouchCopy (Mac or PC) both will allow you to save your messages as either pdf or text files.

Hi there dkbush,

You can permanently save a message by never deleting the conversation thread and ensuring that Keep Messages in Settings > Messages is set to "Forever."

If you don't use iCloud for Messages, you'll also want to make sure you periodically backup your iPhone as well to keep that message or messages available just in case of an issue with your device. If needed, this article will allow you to see multiple different backup methods: How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

As for your other question, if you have a Mac device and your messages sync to it, you can go to File in the menu bar > Print. This will allow you to print some of the conversation that is currently selected in the Messages app, but not the entire thread. If you'd like, you can submit feedback about this here: Product Feedback - Apple

We hope that information helps.

Take care.
