I have every indication that this has to do with the update. 1 ) Everything worked just fine until right after the update, 2) connected another phone that had not been updated yet and it connected perfectly for both calls and audio/music, 3) The only device not working as expected is the one phone with the update.
Please note this is not a phone to Mac connection, this is a iPhone to car connection
I am also having this issue only since the update and with my Uconnect system. The phone is not recognized by Uconnect when I try to repair it yet my partners phone on an older ios does not have this issue
Same issue here. I’ve had the same car for the last five years and the same phone for 6 months at least. Ever since the update my car will not Bluetooth connect unless I open up the settings on my phone and force a connection. This is def an update issue. Please fix asap!
Updating iOS on your iPhone should typically not alter the fundamental functionality of the device. It's possible that there were underlying issues before this update, which you might not have been aware of previously or might not have noticed.
In general, iOS updates are designed to enhance the user experience, improve security, and fix bugs, rather than introducing major disruptions to core features. The reported issue of the screen flickering and displaying a white screen after an update is likely caused by factors that are not explicitly mentioned in your post.
iOS updates primarily focus on improving system performance, introducing new features, fixing bugs, and enhancing security. They are designed to preserve your personal data, settings, and information intact.
During an iOS update, your device's operating system is upgraded, but your personal data, such as contacts, photos, messages, and other information, should remain unchanged. However, it's always a good practice to perform a backup of your device before any major update to ensure that your data is safely stored.
It's important to note that while an iOS update itself should not alter personal details, it's possible that certain features or settings may be adjusted or improved with the update. In such cases, you may need to review and adjust specific settings to match your preferences after the update.
Always make sure to read and understand the update details provided by Apple before proceeding with an iOS update, and follow best practices such as backing up your device to minimize any potential risks or complications.

If the issues you mentioned are indeed caused by iOS, it's likely that numerous users who have upgraded to iOS 16.6.1 are experiencing similar problems. However, in order for the community on this forum to provide helpful responses, it would be beneficial for you to specify the nature of the issue you are encountering. Without this information, it may be difficult for others to address your concern effectively.
I am also having this issue only since the update and with my Uconnect system.
All of a sudden my phone was not recognized by my Uconnect - as if it had never been paired yet my partners phone on an older ios does not have this issue. He has never been paired to my vehicle and it shows up under his Bluetooth in his phone where it does not in mine.
I checked and am up to date on Uconnect version
Hello, I am experiencing exactly the same. Can't make bluetooth connections with anything anymore, not with car, beatbox, etc. Very annoying. Tried all the things above like forget device, forget network, etc. Tried to pair again and bluetooth on iphone says it is connected to device, but it does not work
I’m having similar problems. Mine connects but I can no longer control my device from the console. I have to go to the phone. For example. My Spotify plays via Bluetooth but if I want to change songs I have to do it on my phone. This is all new since the iOS update.
SAME here with my pioneer car stereo
My I phone has been connected to my RAM for 3 years. After recent upgrade of software I can not keep phone paired. Will eventually pair, but when I reenter the vehicle later it is no longer paired.
