can't turn off automatic downloads in Apple Music on iPhone 14

Every time I'm connected to Wi-Fi, new songs I added to my playlist are being downloaded even though the automatic download is turned off. I've already restarted my phone several times, but it hasn't helped. What can I do about this?

iPhone 14, iOS 16

Hey Evionikkk,

To start, we suggest turning on "Automatic Downloads" in Settings > Music, restarting the iPhone and then turning if back off. This will refresh the setting, and resolve your issue.

If that doesn't resolve the issue, make sure your iPhone is up-to-date. Since updates include bug fixes, it's best to keep the device up-to-date. The latest version is iOS 16.6.1. Before updating, make sure you have a current backup to ensure your data is safe. For steps on how to back up your iPhone and update it, review the steps below or in this article: Update your iPhone or iPad.

1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
4. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.
5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do.

Hope this helps. Take care.
