Apple Car Play and Volvo XC60 only works intermittently

Sometimes when I start Apple CarPlay in my 2019 Volvo XC60 it works as it is supposed to. Other times I see Connection Error instead of the CarPlay screen. My Volvo Service writer insists that it is due to a faulty cord, but it happens even with a brand new cord. I can drive to the store and listen to my audible book, but when I come out of the store I cannot get CarPlay to connect. This has been happening as long as I've had the car. Is there any fix for this issue?

Many Carplay issues on latest ios in BMW The latest ios update has caused havoc with my 2018 bmw’s carplay. It often freezes when you start the car and won’t actually open the carply screen. To get it to work, I have to switch from carplay to bluetooth and then back to carplay in my car media display. And when it starts working, the app integrations are hit or miss. Browsing into the Amazon music app creates the infinite spinner. Spotify contents are current on the phone but stale in the carplay interface, etc. I just got a new phone hoping it would fix it, but the same issues exist. Is anyone else seeing this? For the crazy $300 add-on fee to use carplay in a bmw, I would expect this to work flawless.

Subaru 2022 CarPlay not working Anyone else with Subaru Apple CarPlay not working? I’ve done everything from check settings, contact Apple and Subaru. Downloaded all the updates as well. It worked until 3 days ago. Now the option for CarPlay and Android are greyed out. I’ve done everything we know to do before taking back to the dealership. Help??
