How to reinstate voice for turn by turn directions in Maps? No longer speaks turns but will announce traffic alerts.

First go to Settings/Maps and make sure the settings for Spoken Directions are correct.
Then, on your next trip, tap the speaker icon on the map display and turn on spoken directions.
