ipod touch A2178

iPod A2178 was used last about 2yrs,, it is charged but i dont remember my 4 digit code. how to reset it so i can continue to use w/ my sewing machine software...very exciting these days to sew. thank you

problem resetting ipod I've had problems now for a few days and couldn't fix it so did what I've down in past many times with other items and sent it back to factory settings. I can't remember 4 digit pin?
