Video on Google Drive won't play with AirPlay on iPhone and iPad

If you’re still having this issue: I was having this problem and I SOLVED IT. Make your videos “available offline” on google drive. They will then be able to airplay to your appletv. This has to be done to each individual file you wish to play, and on every device you wish to stream from. Do this using the “meatball menu” (the three horizontal dots) beside each video file.

Worked for me, maybe u didnt wait enough after making it offline, bigger the vdo, longer it takes to load offline.

Make sure apple play is connected to tv. Then make a vdo offline on google drive then click on 3 dash on side bar menu of drive, click on offline n then play after the whole vdo finished loading offline.

I found a workaround! The “offline mode” didn’t work for me but when I screen mirrored the Apple device, it then played the video when I selected it.

Good to know! Thanks! I was just using the offline mode fix no issue, but a few things updated and now it will only play certain videos, nothing new. I think it may be not just a google/apple compatibility issue, but, for me anyways, a copyright issue as well. I can watch older movies this way no problem though, it seems to be only newer/recent movies that it refuses to play. I could be wrong though.

What Apple device?

I tried this but it didn’t work at all is there anything else?? I’m desperate

The offline mode didn't work for me. It just shows a music note icon without playing any audio or video.
