Notes disappeared after I changed my Apple ID password

on my iMessages it kept showing that my Apple ID has been signed out even tho I didn’t do that. I’m Settings I couldn’t press the sign in button,so I pressed ‘forgot password’ and just changed the password to my Apple ID. I went to my notes to write down my new password and it was completely empty, not a single thing or folder. I tried offloading the notes app and so much more but there’s still nothing there. Alot of my important things were written in the notes app,my notes were even synced with iCloud and in settings it even shows that in the notes app I have 2.3mbs of storage taken, but there’s absolutely nothing there. What am I supposed to do???, I really really need them back.

iPhone 12, iOS 16

Hello Monkey1113,

It sounds like you changed your Apple ID password. After changing your password, you'd need to also take these related steps: What to do after you change your Apple ID or password

iCloud

Update your Apple ID and password on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, PC, and Apple TV.

iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

If you’re using iOS 10.3 or later, go to Settings > [your name]. If you’re using iOS 10.2 or earlier, go to Settings > iCloud.

* If you're signed out, enter your updated Apple ID and password. The data in iCloud will automatically appear on your device after you sign in.

* If you're still signed in with your previous Apple ID:

1. Scroll down and tap Sign Out, then follow the onscreen steps. You might need to enter your password. Your data will remain in iCloud and will be updated on your device when you sign in to iCloud again.

2. Enter your updated Apple ID and password.

If you updated your Apple ID email address* before signing out of iCloud, and your device repeatedly asks for the password to your previous Apple ID, you can temporarily change your Apple ID to sign in.

Taking these steps will sign you back in to iCloud with new updated password. After this, make sure you've also have iCloud Notes enabled: Set up iCloud for Notes on all your devices

Let us know if this helps out.

Take care.
