Can't turn off audio description when playing Apple music on Sony over HomeKit Airplay

I've got a SONY Android TV with HomeKit built in. I often turn the TV on/off and/or ask Siri to play music on the TV.

Up until earlier 2023 it was working like a dream, but then came audio description where Siri would play the music but also announce loudly "play/pause, xxx minute remaining" for each track, which negatively interrupts the experience significantly. As with a paid music service, you don't expect interruption from ads etc., and the audio description is just as bad as we didn't ask for it.

I've combed through the settings on both my iPhone and the TV, but there's no option to turn the audio description off.

Any help would be appreciated.
