Unable to add Folder/Mailbox to iPhone mail

Trying to create folders (mailboxes) on my iPhone 12 and get "Unable to Create Mailbox. The mailbox couldn't be created on the server." I tried to understand from previous posts but still haven't figured it out. I use Mac Mail and have several folders and no problems adding. However, the Mailboxes available on the iPhone are default ones. I have never been able to add a new folder/mailbox and finally giving up and asking for help. Currently on iOS 16.6.1.

I continue to have this problem. Only changes are moving from iPhone 12 to iPhone 15 Pro. When I search I find a ton of people with the same problem that don't get responses. Why is this? Can someone point me to a thread where this is discussed? I find it very strange that I can't add "New Mailbox", essentially folders, on my iPhone Mail app. Every time I try I get a popup stating "Unable to Create Mailbox. The mailbox couldn't be created on the server".
