If you have an iPhone, you can use the remote in the Control Center.

Perhaps if you explain what problems you're having with the remote, someone can give you some tips.

You may also be able to use a remote you already have and that's more familiar to you:

I won’t interrupt the authors post …

You could have started a new question, from the ‘Ask the Community’ link at the top.

but I really want to find out how it works.
I have a Siri Remote 2 gen., and the Apple TV 4K (2nd generation), Iphone 13 max pro with the latest update, an still it doesn’t show up?

The remote will have to be [automatically] updated to firmware 0x83 (part of tvOS 17). You can verify this in Settings. It may need more than 50% battery charge for this to happen, same as with automatic updates on other devices. Else let it lay idle for some time within bluetooth range of the paired Apple TV box that is not sleeping.

Then the Find button should show from the drop-down menu at the top of the software remote.
