Launchpad on MacOS Ventura 13.5.2 Rearranging Pages

I saw similar posts but all seem to be dated. I painfully create just the right set of icons on just the right number of pages in Launchpad. The problem is that, after a few days, the order of the pages changes and I have to move icons from page 2 to page 1 then create a second page and move them back to the way they were before. This has been happening on a brand new MacBook Air M2 15". Anyone else having this experience and is there a solution you can share?

Hi there rbullerdick,

As we understand it, you've manually arranged the apps in Launchpad on your Mac but find they're rearranging unexpectedly after some time. Is that right?

Are you using any profiles on your Mac? You can check under Apple menu () > System Settings > Profiles. This could be a possible explanation if you're running a profile or Mobile Device Management.

You also mentioned this happens after a few days. Are you restarting your Mac at any point during those few days, putting it to sleep, or shutting it down entirely? In general, testing in a new administrator account is a good way to narrow down an issue like this. Knowing how frequently it happens would help in determining if that will be a possible isolation step. Here's how to set up a new account for reference: Add a user or group on Mac - Apple Support

If you're able to test and replicate the issue in a new user, let us know!

Kind regards.
