My ipad keeps saying my password is wrong
Factory reset phone after it had same issue after last update. Now the iPad keeps giving me a wrong password and makes me wait an hour to try again.

It sounds like you have a forgotten passcode and have seen the iPhone article on the topic. The iPad steps are similar and found here: If you forgot your iPad passcode.
You may even be able to do this without a computer: If you see an iPhone or iPad unavailable message or Security Lockout screen.
"Before you reset your device
- You need to have a device that's using iOS 15.2 or iPadOS 15.2 or later.
- Your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch needs to be connected to a cellular or Wi-Fi network.
- You'll need your Apple ID and password that you used to set up your device."
