my Apple ID is currently a discontinued, inaccessible email. When I try to change it to my new email, it won’t allow me, giving me the message that I cannot use my notifications email. When I tried to delete my notifications email so I can use it as my Apple ID, I get caught in a “loop” that won’t allow me to progress. Please help!

Please review this article which explains the email addresses you're using with your Apple ID: About your Apple ID email addresses - Apple Support. Any additional email addresses or a rescue email address cannot be used to create or change an Apple ID even if removed.
