Converting Music Playlist on iPhone Over To MacBook Pro Drops HOURS of Music Files & Rearranges Order of Songs

  1. I created a 12 hr. playlist on my iPhone13Pro.
  2. I open "Music app" on both iPhone and MacBook Pro
  3. I then plug iPhone13 into MacBook Pro. IOS: Ventura 13.5.2
  4. Automatic “Syncing” between iPhone & Mac takes place
  5. When done syncing, I open the downloaded Playlist on my MacBook Pro Music and find nearly half of the music didn't sync and has disappeared from the Playlist.
  6. If I repeat, it creates erroneous new playlists that are not only incomplete, but the music order has changed.
  7. The playlists are now useless. They all display dropped files, and the song files inside the Playlist(s) are out of their arranged order
  8. DO I need to purchase the Apple Music subscription?

Music syncs from your Mac to your iPhone. If you're trying to sync backward, it will likely not work. An Apple Music subscription, or subscription to iTunes Match, will allow syncing across any device logged into your Apple ID.
