Even on an iPhone, when I click on edit then on the trash button, it only gives me the option to hide the book. Well I don’t want to hide the book. I want to delete the whole thing. Lol this should be possible by now. We have iOS 16

Troubleshooting iTunes Books:
A. Deleting Books from iTunes:
You Can't. Items stay in the iTuens Store library until they are removed. As you are aware, the best you can do is hide them. If they have been downloaded to a device, then they will still show. But, sometimes times are removed from the user's library, with knowledge. This all has to do with licensing between Apple and the Publisher. How ever, rhey will always show on your purchase history --even if remove from Apple's iTunes Library.
B. Removing a Download:
You cannot rid of these from a a device remotely (and with good reason ---I wouldn't want anyone getting into my device a removing somethings, and I'd sure you wouldn't either.). You'd need to remove them from the device itself.
