@me.com password change

Back in the late 90’s when I bought my first Apple hardware, I originally had a @mac.com address (xxx@mac.com). Then Apple introduced the @me addresses, and mine was switched to xxx@me.com

When I bought an iPad a couple of years ago, I wasn’t able to work out how to set it up to be able to access the @me.com email, so I continued to read it on my iPhone.  I can’t recall the password for it, and don’t know how to reset it. Can you please point me in the right direction? I’m about to get a new iPhone so need to have the details. I just purchased the M2 MacBook Air, and would like to access it there as well.

Many thanks.

Reset your Apple ID password on a web browser

If you don't have a trusted device, you can reset your password on the web – but the process may take a little longer.

When possible, the web browser will redirect you to a trusted device. If you'll have access to one of your trusted devices soon, it may be faster and easier to reset your password then.
