If we understand your post correctly, you are trying to create a repeating event for weekends only in Calendar on your iPhone. We’d like to help.

To add an event that repeats on only weekends follow these steps:

1. Open Calendar and tap the +.
2. Add a title for your event.
3. Select the date/time you want the event to begin.
4. Tap Repeat > Custom > Frequency > Weekly.
5. Then tap the days of the week you want the event to repeat on.
6. Tap New event in the upper left corner to return to the previous page.
7. Tap add to save the event.

You would like ...what.... to only show on weekends? Does this event occur between the dates August 26th and October 1? If so, some of those days are weekdays. As I explained above, you would need to create an event by starting on the first weekend day in that period, select recurs weekly and select the weekend days. Put the end date as October 1.

Or do you mean something else? Why not start by telling us explicitly, what the dates are that you want to see on your calendar.

We're confused by your reply. Did you follow step 5 above? Selecting only the specific days to add the event? The more we can understand, the better we can assist.

Your post is not very clear. Are you trying to put in a repeating event that occurs only on weekends? Or are you trying to put in an annual repeating event that occurs August 26 through October 1 every year? The second possibility obviously includes days that are not weekends. Or, are you trying to create an event that recurs every weekend day between August 26th and October 1? If the latter, you can set it up to repeat every weekend day during that period by selecting the first weekend day in that period as your start day but, you'd have to redo it every year, I believe.
