Why can't I choose specific days for my iCal events anymore?

When creating an event in iCal (iOS 18) there isn’t a way to select specific days of the week, i.e weekdays only as recurring event each week. It used to be available when selecting “custom” but it’s no there anymore. EXTREMELY irritating 😠 Selecting “every 7 days” or whatever, means I’d have to create the same event over and over for each weekday. Help please. Thank you :)
