HP printer won't print

I have a MacBook Pro laptop. It has been Wirelessly connected to an HP printer for a couple of years. It has quit working. When I check the print job there is a message that says, "printer is already in use" . I've tried everything I know to do and I'm out of ideas. Please help!

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 12.6
