Contents of Reminders disappeared

After installing Ventura, is anyone else having problems with the contents of Mac apps disappearing? Last week I lost the contents of the Photo Library, then today the contents of Reminders disappeared. With the Photos, after 2 days and many fruitless attempts, including re-installing the OS, I gave up and turned it over to Apple Support, who successfully created a new Photo Library. Today when Reminders disappeared I just created a new Administrator's account for myself and synced it to the iCloud account. Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems with the contents of Mac apps disappearing after installing Ventura. This seems to be a common issue that many users have reported. There are some possible causes and solutions for this problem.

One possible cause is that the iCloud sync settings for your apps are not configured properly. You can check and adjust the iCloud sync settings by following these steps:

- Open System Preferences and click on Apple ID.

- Click on iCloud in the sidebar and make sure that the apps you want to sync are checked.

- Click on Options next to Photos and make sure that iCloud Photos is enabled.

- Click on Options next to iCloud Drive and make sure that Desktop & Documents Folders and Optimize Mac Storage are enabled.

- Click on Manage in the bottom right corner and make sure that you have enough storage space available for your apps.

Another possible cause is that the app data is corrupted or damaged. You can try to repair or rebuild the app data by following these steps:

- For Photos, open the app and hold down the Option and Command keys. A dialog box will appear with options to repair or rebuild your photo library. Choose the option that suits your situation and follow the instructions.

- For Reminders, open the app and click on View > Show Sidebar. Right-click on each list and choose Export. Save the exported files to a safe location. Then, delete all the lists from Reminders and empty the Trash. Restart your Mac and open Reminders again. Import the exported files by clicking on File > Import.

- For other apps, you can try to delete the app preferences files from your Library folder. To do this, open Finder and click on Go > Go to Folder. Type ~/Library/Preferences and press Enter. Locate the files that start with com.apple.[appname] and move them to the Trash. Restart your Mac and open the app again.

If none of these methods work, you may need to use a data recovery software to recover your lost data from macOS Ventura. There are many data recovery software available online, but one of the most reliable and easy-to-use ones is EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard for Mac. This powerful data recovery tool can recover any deleted files from macOS Ventura, including photos, documents, audio, video, and more. The software provides a beginner-friendly interface that simplifies the recovery process. You can download it for free from their website⁴ and follow the instructions to scan your Mac drive and recover your lost data.

I hope these tips help you solve your problem and restore your app data.
