Sending Automatic dnd response

I was wondering if there is a way I could send an automatic text response to people trying to reach me when my phone is on DND. I’m tired of all the “you’re canceling my call” and “you’re such a snob”

iPhone 11, iOS 16

Hello AliciahOA,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities, it's great to have you here.

This is a great idea and the good news is that you can do this using features built right in to iOS. The article you'll want to reference can be found here: Use the Driving Focus on your iPhone to concentrate on the road - Apple Support. We know that this Focus is designed for driving, however it will certainly accomplish what you were hoping to do and can be enabled whether you're driving or not.

From that article:

Turn on Auto-Reply

With Auto-Reply, favorites and those you allow notifications from will get an auto reply when you have the Driving Focus on. They can choose to notify you anyway by sending "urgent" as an additional message.

1. Go to Settings > Focus, then tap Driving.
2. Tap Auto-Reply.
3. Select an option, like No One, Recents, Favorites, or All Contacts.

From here, you can customize the auto-reply message that people get when they message you while a Driving Focus is on.

Thank you for being a part of the community here. We hope this information helps!

Best wishes.
